DEFENSE is ATTACK (Antivirus, Anti-Spyware, Anti-rootkit, Firewall, Security, Vulnerability and all other Protections)

Hehe, so that title caught you? You might have heard from the previous post that I use many ‘FREE’ security applications : 2 antivirus (avast! home 4.8 and AVG Free 8.0), 1 firewall app (Comodo Firewall Pro 3), also Spyware Doctor SE and other freeware-softwares (legal and license free).

Maybe you wonder and judge me why i feel so ‘insecure’ or ‘absurd’ or ‘irrational’ because of those numerous internet securities? Were there any traumas?

NOTE : I never suggest your computer/pc/laptop should sport all those protections if you feel comfort with a great one. and it’s enough for you, and maybe your computer is sooo slow? (in this case you may read Tweak Windows and Tweak Internet Speed category).

Why HW ? A reasonable answer i can tell is that my routines are very related to computers, both offline and online ( average of 10-12 hours per day nonstop ). I need great protections, but i know that Every software/freeware/technology is made by humans! Yeah, humans are never perfect, only God is The One and perfect, There’s always a weak point in the structure of things made by humans ( including softwares, right?).

According to my experience, Sometimes, An anti-virus freeware called “anti-A” can detect a virus called “virus-X” and heal the infected files well but another antivirus “anti-B” can not, then sometimes the anti-B can detect virus called “virus-Z” and do clean it well but anti-A is not able. So, i choose to use both, of course There is a ‘consequence’ (slow down speed? no, it’s not a big problem! be creative, tweak what can be tweaked, yeah keep reading below for the how-to).

The applications should be the 1st, 2nd best choices for me (at this time avg and avast for me). Yeah, there are other freebies but most of them are full of “limited” features. Why freewares? of course i think about my hard-earned bucks as money doesn’t come to you as easy as it spends, right? so What freeware? which is free but ‘not-below-standard’ is fair enough ( Yeah… ‘Price never Lies’ tag may be applied to me next time if i’m full of money ).

I think most of us know that Internet is globally huge world ! (remember this site’s tagline : HWDOT is just a dot of huge world hehe just a dot you know ), You can get almost everything (money for bussiness, knowledge for students, fun for singles, friends+soulmates +social_network+shoppings for ladies/girls, multiplayer games for gamers, great products for consumers, and so on…) and all of those are generally the latest information, global news and technologies from internet, but DO NOT FORGET : NOT ALL you see is what you get, what you receive, send, or do will give you GOODNESS, but also FAKES and BADNESS such as sending your credit card numbers to hackers, receiving Virusses, Spywares, Spams, Junks, and all other improper things!

There are many thefts everywhere! , and yes! including internet ! , Many BAD Hackers (=crackers? is there any good hacker? ) are everywhere ( i hate them and i think most people do, don’t you? ), and so on..

Maybe someone will respond: “but.. but.. i’ve never met them!!” I think that’s almost impossible these days, yeah if there’s maybe He is not so aware of technology because of lack of routines in front of a monitor or touch a computer/laptop/pc/cellphone twice a year??!! or for everyone who looks at his e-mail and say: “what does a junk-mail means? ah i don’t know..but yes, i’m popular, many people send me more messages” oh nooo..these days.. (-_-); haha i think noone’s like that, right?

Yes, you’ll have to DEFEND yourself ! (terrorists? badness? etc) Defense doesn’t mean you’re weak, but you’re Smart, you’re Aware, you are Well-informed ! Prevention is much better than Cure, isn’t it?

I can say > Defense is Attack. You’re independent if You attack all those ‘improper things’ you should not get / or if it’s not your principle (a Good principle and of course for PEACE ). A mouthful? Yeah..whatever.

So were those protections effective and not killing my memory resources and loading times?

>> i use them at the right time and right purposes (manual/automatic), When it’s offline, and you’re just playing games do nothing else (data-transfer), or when defragging your computer, and other activities that you’re the boss, you’re in control, There are no ‘harmful’ flashdisks in your USB drive, not connected to internet, Just turn the protection off temporarily.
>> Hmm yeah maybe they’re making my pc not as fast as Bugatti Veyron hehe, but i’m satisfied enough. I should thank my hardwares, processors, 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo E6600, 2GB DDR2 Corsairs and others..(yeah not so high-end but i’ll upgrade again if needed) and of course do not forget These ‘SECRET-Softwares/Tweaks/Tips-and-Tricks‘ : Tweak Windows (Speed up Windows Start-up and Tweak Shut-Down speed .. and so on ), Tweak Internet Speed for optimal online experience, yeah yeah.. just look at the CATEGORIES in the sidebar, okay !
