You’re probably already aware of popular freewares i posted before e.g. Opera Mini 4.1, Firefox, AVG 8.0, avast! 4.8 Home edition (both avg and avast are popular Antivirus + Antispyware), and others (look at the previous posts). Actually, i ever talked a little about Google Pack before (previous post: Protect Privacy with Spyware Doctor SE - FREE Adware/Spyware/Stealware Remover), but Did you know/try that software?

In case you missed the post or you thought the pack was only for spyware doctor, there are actually many apps, here’s now a post, more details about the great softwares for you. What essential softwares? i can say, they’re recommended to try especially for people who’re fond of saving their ‘hard-earned’ bucks (like me ). Interestingly, they are always free with no trial versions.

Firefox is a fast web browser. You can browse the web quickly and securely, switch between pages quickly with tabbed browsing. This is my favorite web browser for my PC (in case you need a nice mobile browser, read the previous post: Opera Mini 4.1 - My Favorite Mobile Web Browser)

> Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer, A nice toolbar for your web browser, lets you search from any web page and autofill forms. You can also block annoying pop-ups with it.

> Adobe Reader
With this application you can view, print, and search PDF files via a redesigned interface. Secure your documents and collaborate via online, real-time meetings. > Skype, This popular application lets you make free voice and video calls to anyone else on Skype. You’re able to call landlines and mobile phones at pretty low rates. I think you’re aware of this software, very good especially for VoIP.

> Norton Security Scan, this protection application can detect and eliminate viruses and internet worms. With free detection updates and scheduled scanning. In case you’ve ever had any good impressions with Norton’s products , this app is also worth trying.

> RealPlayer, A nice multimedia player which can play popular media formats, organize music and videos. You’re also able to transfer music to iPod and other portable media players.

> Google Earth, with this 3D Earth Browser you can find maps, driving directions, hotels, restaurants, and more. You can zoom in from space almost to street level and tour the world if you want.

> Google Desktop, a nice app from Google which let you find all your email, files, web history, and more. you can also get all your personalized info in one place with Sidebar. There’s also Google Gadget, sidebar and other features..

> StarOffice (broadband recommended). This is an office suite developed by Sun. This software offers word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and more. It includes Java™ Runtime Environment.

> Picasa is a software from Google that offers nice features for you e.g. finding, editing, and sharing your photos or pictures in seconds. You’ll easily remove red eye and fix photos. There are also other useful features. just try it.

> Google Photos Screensaver, to display photos or pictures from your PC and photo sharing sites. it also lets you watching cinematic slideshows. If your computer/laptop is often idle, and you have many pictures/photos to be animated, try this nice software.

> Google Talk. A friendly application to connect with your friends via IM or free voice calls. Send and receive files and voice messages easily and quickly.
