In order to get fixes for the inevitable “dot zero” bugs, WordPress officially released wp version 2.6.1. This version is a new update for the previous 2.6 “Tyner” release. Actually, You need NOT upgrade to 2.6.1, IF Wordpress 2.6 is OKAY. Yeah, this is just an ‘Optional Upgrade’. Styling of the admin for right-to-left languages is now much improved. Gettext bug caused by certain PHP configurations is now fixed. For IIS users, it also fixes several permalink problems. Image insertion problems in the Press This feature in IE fixed.
