The latest stable release of WordPress (Version 2.8.3) has been released. This is a security release, so upgrading is highly recommended. You can download the new version 2.8.3 from here, or upgrade automatically from your admin.
Unfortunately, I missed some places when fixing the privilege escalation issues for 2.8.1. Luckily, the entire WordPress community has our backs. Several folks in the community dug deeper and discovered areas that were overlooked. With their help, the remaining issues are fixed in 2.8.3.

The release of Wordpress 2.8.3 was unexpected but looking at the no of bugs and error wordpress 2.8.1 and 2.8.2 had, It was much expected update. Though I updated Wordpress to 2.8.3 and I can still see few Errors in my dashboard
