Chrome is a new browser from Google that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier. The name is derived from the graphical user interface frame, or “chrome”, of web browsers. This new web browser uses V8 JavaScript engine that features hidden class transitions, dynamic code generation, and precise garbage collection. Tests by Google show that V8 is about 2X faster than Firefox 3 and the Safari 4 beta.

+ Incognito mode. This mode is for private browsing.
+ Safe browsing. Warns you for a suspected phishing, malware or otherwise unsafe website.
+ Instant bookmarks. Just click the star icon at the left edge of the address bar.
+ Importing settings. Bookmarks and passwords from your existing browser.
+ Simpler downloads. No intrusive download manager, Download status at the bottom of current window.
Chrome vs Firefox?
For simple web browsing, Chrome is fast and responsive! In case you need a browser with full of great add-ons and plugins, (still fast enough), Firefox is currently a good alternative. If you don’t care about add-ons, plugins, extensions, then Google Chrome is for you! I’m currently using both, because of the ‘very-useful’ Google Toolbar which is not available on Chrome yet.
