Alkitab untuk pengikut Tuhan Yesus Kristus. Lagi mencari software Alkitab untuk ponsel yang gratis?? Ini ada beberapa program/aplikasi Alkitab untuk berbagai handphone.

1. S60Bible for Symbian S60, S80 (i’m using this on Nokia 6630)
This app is a Symbian Bible. S60Bible reads Bible in Palm e-book format (.pdb). There are many Bibles in .pdb format on the Internet. You can get many language versions (.pdb) from PalmBible+

1. S60Bible untuk Symbian S60, S80 (aku pakai yang ini di ponsel Nokia 6630)
Program ini adalah aplikasi pembaca (reader) Alkitab untuk ponsel / handphone ber-operasi Symbian OS Series 60 and 80., seperti Nokia, dll. S60Bible dibuat oleh orang Indonesia, Yohanes Nugroho. Software ini nantinya semacam aplikasi pembaca text/buku Alkitab-nya. Jadinya ada 2 (dua) yang harus didownload. Yakni, pertama programnya dulu yakni S60Bible (formatnya .sis untuk symbian), lalu baru kemudian file buku/text Alkitab-nya (dalam format .pdb).

.PDB format ini sebenarnya adalah e-book format untuk ponsel ber-operasi Palm OS. Ada banyak sekali di internet versi bahasa Alkitab dalam bentuk format .pdb ini (coba search di google ada banyak sekali). Dibawah akan saya kutip situs-situs yang menyediakannya.

Steps for installing S60Bible :
A. First Download the application/software to read the Bible (in .PDB format):
>> Download FREE S60Bible via www.compactbyte.com/symbianbible/
>> Install S60Bible reader on your device.
B. Copy the .PDB file of the Bible to your device.
There are many Bibles in .pdb format on the Internet. You can get many language versions (.pdb) from PalmBible+.

Bible in Indonesian can be downloaded from www.fica.org/PembacaAlkitab/
In fica.org, you’ll get some Indonesian versions: Terjemahan Baru (New Translation), Terjemahan Lama (Old Translation), Bahasa Indonesia Sehari-hari (Indonesian Daily Language), Bahasa Batak Toba (Batak Toba Language).

Alternatively, Holy Bible in Chinese, English (King James Version / KJV), Spanish, etc is available from here.

Steps for reading the Bible using S60Bible:
>> Start S60Bible app on your device/mobile phone.
>> Open the .PDB file in S60Bible on your device. in Option choose ‘Bibles‘ > ‘Select Bible‘. (if the Bible doesn’t appear, try to ‘Update Bible list‘ to look for the previous Bible file you copied).

Langkah-langkah untuk install S60Bible
A. Pertama unduh program S60Bible (format filenya .sis) yang gratis untuk membaca file Alkitab (format filenya .PDB)
>> Download FREE S60Bible dari www.compactbyte.com/symbianbible/
Nanti silahkan dipilih versinya untuk Nokia seri tertentu, (dalam ekstensi file .sis).
>> Install program S60Bible di ponsel.
Nginstalnya bisa pakai Nokia PC Suite, atau langsung di ponsel.
B. Copy file Alkitabnya (.PDB nya) di ponsel.
Ada banyak file Alkitab ber-ekstensi .pdb di internet. Kamu dapat mendapatkan berbagai macam versi bahasa, dari situs PalmBible+.

Yang untuk file Alkitab berbahasa Indonesia saya temukan di situs www.fica.org/PembacaAlkitab/
Di situs fica.org tersebut nantinya ada beberapa versi translansi bahasanya, antara lain:
- Terjemahan Baru (New Translation) Copyright Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia, 1994.
- Terjemahan Lama (Old Translation) Copyright Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia, 1994.
- Bahasa Indonesia Sehari-hari (Indonesian Daily Language) Copyright Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia, 1994.
- Bahasa Batak Toba (Batak Toba Language)

Alternatif lain untuk Alkitab berbahasa Mandarin, English (King James Version / KJV), Spanyol, dan bahasa lainnya dapat diunduh dari sini.

Langkah Membaca Alkitab menggunakan S60Bible sesudah diinstal:
>> Jalankan aplikasi S60Bible di ponsel.
>> Cari File .PDB file nya S60Bible di bagian ‘Bibles‘ > ‘Select Bible‘. (kalau belum ada ‘Update Bible list‘ dulu untuk mencari file yang telah dikopi dari langkah sebelumnya).

2. PalmBible+ for Palm OS
Yeah, it’s like S60bible app above, using Palm e-book format (.pdb/.prc) to read the Bible.

2. PalmBible+ untuk PDA dan ponsel ber-operasi Palm OS
Seperti aplikasi S60bible diatas, ini juga menggunakan Palm e-book format (.pdb/.prc) untuk membaca Alkitabnya.

Steps for installing PalmBible+ :

This app is basically an e-book reader. With Mobipocket Reader you can read Content on your PDA and smartphone e.g. Palm OS, Windows Mobile (WinMo) Pocket PC, BlackBerry, Symbian OS including S60, UIQ, S80, S90, PC, Cybook, iLiad, Pepper-Pad.

Program ini sejatinya pembaca e-book. Dengan aplikasi ini kamu dapat membaca buku-elektronik di PDA, smartphone beroperasi Palm OS, Windows Mobile (WinMo) Pocket PC, BlackBerry, Symbian OS including S60, UIQ, S80, S90, PC, Cybook, iLiad, Pepper-Pad.

Steps for installing:

B. Copy the .PRC file of the Bible to your device.

Go Bible is a Free Bible viewer application for Java mobile phones (J2ME MIDP 1.0 and MIDP 2.0). Go Bible Features: Christ’s Words in red, SMS scriptures, Bookmarks, History, Coloured themes, Fast search.

Go Bible adalah software Alkitab untuk ponsel ber-operasi Java. Ada beberapa fitur antara lain: Kata-kata Tuhan Yesus ditulis berwarna merah, SMS scriptures, Bookmarks, History, Coloured themes, Fast search. Ada beberapa translasi King James Version dalam berbagai bahasa. Filenya nantinya akan berekstensi JAR, dan JAD yang untuk tipe ponsel tertentu diperlukan dalam penginstalan.

There are many languages available with some King James Version. The file you download is a ZIP file. You will need to decompress this file which will result in some JAD and JAR files. The JAR file is the actual application which needs to be loaded onto the phone. The JAD file is a smaller descriptor file that some phone application loaders may require to be able to install the JAR file.

5. Pocket e-Sword (app) for Windows Mobile Smartphone/PocketPC + Bible in .bbl format

In case you have a smartphone/PDA/PocketPC with Windows Mobile 5/6, you can use an application by Rick Meyers called “Pocket e-Sword” as the bible reader. The bibles come in .bbl format, you can download it from the same website below.

* This app works well on my Samsung SGH-i780 aka BlackJack II with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional (PDA/Phone version: i780PDXHL2).

Pocket e-Sword Minimal system requirements include:
+ Desktop PC running Windows 95, 98, Me, NT4, 2000, or XP
+ Strong Arm/XScale based PDA or phone running Pocket PC 2003/2003SE, Windows Mobile 5, or Windows Mobile 6
+ PDA must have a “touch screen”.

5. Pocket e-Sword (aplikasinya) utk Windows Mobile Smartphone/PocketPC + Alkitab dalam .bbl format

Apabila kamu menggunakan smartphone/PDA/PocketPC dengan Windows Mobile 5/6, kamu bisa menggunakan aplikasi buatan Rick Meyers bernama “Pocket e-Sword” sebagai program pembaca Alkitabnya. Format file Alkitabnya nanti dalam .bbl, dan dapat didownload dari website yang sama.

B. Choose and download the Bible files you want on the same page.
>> Install the .bbl bibles on your Windows Mobile-based device.
(Installer is still in .exe, but don’t worry, it will be .bbl on your pocketpc later after being installed using Microsoft ActiveSync)

Steps for reading the Bible:
» Start Pocket e-Sword on your WM device/smartphone.
» First time you run the app, it will automatically search the bibles (after installing the .bbl bible, please do the option B, of course), or point to where you place the bibles if asked.

A. Pertama unduh program Pocket e-Sword yang gratis untuk membaca file Alkitab (dalam .bbl format):

>> Installer nya nanti bukan .cab untuk dijalankan di smartphone, melainkan masih .exe berupa Setup Launcher dan dijalankan di PC desktop anda, apabila Microsoft ActiveSync sudah terinstall dengan baik dan sudah bisa menghubungkan WinMo smartphone dengan PC, maka instalasi akan terasa mudah dan otomatis.
B. Unduh juga file Alkitab nya dihalaman yang sama.
Ada banyak bahasa yang tersedia, kebanyakan tersedia GRATIS tentunya yang tidak ada tanda $ nya. Lalu instal seperti halnya programnya, menggunakan Microsoft ActiveSync installer .exe nya akan terekstrak menjadi .bbl. Anda juga bisa pilih diletakkan pada folder sesuai pilihan anda pada smartphonenya.

Langkah Membaca Alkitab menggunakan Pocket e-Sword sesudah diinstal:
>> Jalankan Pocket e-Sword di WM smartphone anda.
>> otomatis akan terbuka file .bbl nya di smartphone anda, tentunya setelah anda melakukan option B. diatas, atau arahkan/browse di mana file Alkitab tsb anda taruh sebelumnya bila program menanyakan.
